"This piece honors individuals who withstood life's adversities for their children. These mishaps--fade effects seen in the painting, made them a strong foundation. A sturdy hand to hold during storms. A great companion. A teacher. A father."
Kyle Toribio a self-taught figurative painter in Davao del Norte, reckons human skin tones as abstract. His body of works can be seen as a collection of human figures. The process of his paintings were influenced by the old masters in the classical learning approach in painting.
