Sometimes you just need to take a breather. Get some sun and fresh air, get a few cuddles and recharge. You can get back to worrying about your problems when you've gathered your strength again.
Puying growing up with a love for art and literature, Puying paints her subjects with the kind of morbid simplicity that you find in fairytales. Colored with a friendly palette, her vision emits playfulness and nostalgia, often bringing the viewer to trip back to youth. Puying majored in Painting at the University of Northern Philippines, Vigan, happily exploring different media. A year’s scholarship in Surakarta, Indonesia also exposed her to other artforms like puppetry, dances, crafts and music which are evident in some of her works. For her, the pandemic’s silver lining was an opportunity to look inwards once again and take up the brush and paint to recalibrate. More recently, Puying has been actively participating in exhibitions in various galleries including Super Duper Gallery, The Grey Space, and Pinto Art Museum.
