As the artist notes, "Without light, there will be no portrayed colors and without darkness or shadow, the intensity of hues can’t be obtain." Similarly, in life, both light and dark times have an impact on our journey, shaping who we are and the way we view the world around us.

The painting is a reminder of the importance of embracing both light and darkness and the ways in which they can be harnessed to create beauty and meaning in our lives. It challenges the viewer to explore their own relationship with light and darkness and to appreciate the beauty that can emerge from the interplay between the two.

Carmela Tan is an Architect in progress and a freelance contemporary abstractionist. Her works generally portray different stories of love, courage, and enlightenment expressed through her own style. Life has been exhausting, full of snags and troubles for some that’s why she aims to provide calmness and compassion through her art style. Colorful and vibrancy type of abstraction, cubism, and contemporary can be flawlessly seen in her work. In her young life, she has received multiple features that relates to the art scene. She also has participated in numerous art exhibitions, both virtual and physical, in the Philippines and International. She confesses that painting is her form of therapy and uses this as a breather in every circumstance and downs, yet her pursuit to innovate and augment her works' depth is relentless.
